Session Format
Round Robin - Teams
Players book and play as partnered doubles teams through a round robin schedule.
- Each player has the same partner for the session.
- Players initially go onto the waitlist when they book and are only added to the bookings once they have joined up with a partner.
- This is because the format requires teams of 2, not individual players, to attend.
- The system creates a round robin schedule for the booked teams.
- Teams rotate opponents across rounds.
- Rounds are generally timed so all games finish together and the next round can start for everyone.
- Depending on attendance, multiple pools can be created to group teams of similar playing level together.
- PIRAT ratings are generally used to determine which pool a team ends up in.
