Pickle Patch

Start a small patch of players and watch it grow! Pickle Patch replaces recurring private court bookings.

A Patch Starter chooses an invite code and privately invites four other players to form the Starter Patch. Share the code so each player can book in.
Once all five players are booked and paid, the session automatically opens as Court Challenge to other eligible players. With four booked and paid players, the Patch Starter or a session or club administrator can tap 'Open it up!' to open it early.
The eligible PIRAT range is based on the players booked in when the Patch opens: 5% below the lowest rating through 5% above the highest rating, including both boundaries.
For example, a Starter Patch with ratings from 5.0 to 6.0 opens to players rated 4.75 to 6.30. The range stays fixed as more players join.
Players who booked before the Patch opened are shown with a 🪴 beside their name.
Pickle Patch relies on players committing to establish and grow the group. Withdrawals can leave it short of players, and the rating boundaries may limit who can fill a vacant place. Withdrawal credits follow the session's cancellation policy.
Players may request a refund, which a club administrator may approve where there is a reasonable reason for withdrawing.
Players on the waitlist retain the usual withdrawal credit.
